Assemblywoman Soria’s bill to advance the college fee waiver for veteran dependents approved by the Assembly Higher Education Committee
SACRAMENTO - Assemblywoman Soria’s AB 1745, a bill to increase the income threshold for College Fee Waiver for Veteran Dependents, was approved by the Assembly Education Committee today, April 11th.
AB 1745 aims to expand the income threshold for children/dependents of veterans to qualify for the College Fee Waiver for Veteran Dependents, which waives tuition and fees at any State of California Community College, California State University, or University of California campus.
“It’s important that we prioritize benefits for our veterans and their dependents,” said Soria. “This bill will increase access to higher education for veteran dependents.”
