Program Description:
Assemblywoman Esmeralda Soria’s Young Legislators Program is an opportunity for 16-18 year old students in the 27th Assembly District to have a front row seat in the public policy and legislative arena. During this 6-month program, students will meet once a month to advance their advocacy skills, understand the issues they care about, gain valuable leadership skills, and learn about the legislative process.
Requirements:
- High school student, 16 – 18 years old
- Minimum 2.5 unweighted GPA
- Must live or attend school in Assembly District 27
- Commit to 6 monthly, 4-hour Saturday meetings (Entire program is free of cost)
